Why we exist
Corporate security is invisible until it is not. When nothing happens, the work that prevented it goes unseen. When something happens, everyone asks why more was not done. Security leaders live inside that asymmetry, and they carry it without the one tool every other risk function already has: a way to put their risk in dollars.
Cyber gets its own section in the 10-K. Finance runs on models. Physical security, which touches people, sites, supply chains, and reputation, still defends its budget with instinct and incident anecdotes. The tools that do exist are point solutions: case managers, alerting feeds, and crime scores, each useful, none connected, and nothing brings the whole program together.

Your team does not enter data: you share what you already track, in any format, and we ingest, structure, and map it. Your role is to validate, not to do the work.

Who we are
Holtium was built by people who spent years in the industry watching brilliant security leaders whose work stayed invisible and who never had a seat at the table until it was too late. Our team brings decades of experience across corporate security, insurance, enterprise risk, aerospace engineering, and data science.
Holtium was founded in 2025 and is based in Miami. We are backed by investors who know this problem firsthand: security industry leaders, executives at public companies, family offices, hedge fund investors, and founders with recent notable exits.
Andres Paz Larach, founder and CEO
Before Holtium, Andres was Executive Vice President at Pinkerton, where he led operations across North America, Latin America, and Europe. Earlier he advised Fortune 500 clients on risk during M&A at PwC and began his career in property and casualty insurance. He holds an MSc in Enterprise Risk Management from NYU and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
Francisco Velazquez, founder and CTO
Before Holtium, Francisco was Senior Vice President at Pinkerton, where he led the global IT team and directed service delivery across protection, investigations, and consulting. Earlier he founded a firm supporting startups expanding into the US and spent five years as a professor and researcher in mechanics and wind energy. He holds an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Seville and an MBA from IPADE Business School.
